Brook 首发面向安装 iOS 26 或更高版本的 iPhone。
在书库点“＋”，从“文件”App 选择 EPUB、MOBI、AZW 或 AZW3。请使用你有权阅读且没有 DRM 保护的文件。PDF、TXT、KFX 和 AZW4 当前不在支持范围内。导入后点书籍封面开始阅读。
点词可查看释义，选中句段可请求翻译。部分释义来自已下载的本地词典；新的 AI 语境释义和翻译需要联网。功能、体验期及使用额度以 App 当前显示为准。
本地朗读与可选云朗读
在音频设置中选择本地模型与音色。部分语音需要先从 Apple 下载资源；资源页面会显示实际下载大小和准备状态。下载完成后的本地朗读在设备上运行，不上传朗读正文，也不需要开启在线 AI。
订阅用户可另行配置自带 API Key 的云端朗读。它默认关闭，由设备直接连接所选服务商，服务商费用另行承担。Key 保存在本机钥匙串；可在音频设置的高级选项中清除缓存或删除 Key，也可切回本地模型。不要把 Key 发给客服。
在线服务与隐私选择
在线释义与翻译、独立在线发音分别征求许可。允许前会说明发送内容和接收方；你可以拒绝，也可以在“设置 → 个人数据 → 隐私政策”关闭对应服务。
跟随已配置云朗读音色的单词发音使用同一服务商和 Key。在“音频 → 单词发音”切换为本地模型后，单词发音不再发送在线请求。详细处理方式见隐私政策。
订阅、恢复与取消
Brook Pro 提供按月或按年自动续订方案。实际价格、订阅周期、权益和优惠以 App 及 Apple 购买确认页为准。可选的自带 Key 云朗读费用不包含在 Pro 订阅中。
购买后若权益没有更新，请先确认使用购买时的同一 Apple 账户，再到“设置 → 帮助与支持 → 恢复购买”。可在 App 会员页或 Apple 账户的“订阅”中管理和取消订阅。删除书籍或卸载 App 不会取消订阅。退款申请由 Apple 按其规则处理。
如果你使用的是 TestFlight 测试版本，测试购买不会实际扣款，并可能加速续期和到期。这仅适用于测试环境，不代表正式订阅的收费周期。Apple 的 TestFlight 购买说明
备份、导出与移除
在“设置 → 个人数据”可启用 iCloud 备份，保存书籍文件和学习记录的完整副本。备份使用你的个人 iCloud 空间，在 App 打开时自动运行；也可点立即备份。请检查最近一次完成时间，最新改动可能尚未备份。重装后可使用同一 iCloud 账户，把已完成的备份恢复到空书库。
“导出学习数据”免费提供 CSV + JSON 或 JSON，包含书籍元数据、阅读记录、笔记、标注、查询记录和生词，不含原始书籍文件。它与完整书库备份用途不同。生词本另有 Anki、Markdown 等导出选项，使用条件以 App 显示为准。
删除来源书籍不会自动删除已存生词。关闭 iCloud 备份不会删除已有云端数据；如需清除全部云端备份，可使用系统 iCloud 储存管理。服务器数据的查阅、更正或删除请求可联系支持。
遇到问题
遇到服务错误时，可使用提示中的“反馈”发送本次问题的技术摘要。未送达反馈最多在本机保留 7 天，可在帮助与诊断中查看或移除；服务端明细保留 30 天，加密备份按备份周期到期清除。反馈不附带阅读正文、书名、音频或服务凭据。
也可在“设置 → 帮助与支持 → 创建诊断报告”中生成报告，并自行选择是否通过系统分享菜单发出。联系支持时，请说明 iPhone 型号、iOS 与 App 版本、操作步骤、预期结果和实际结果。无需发送整本书或密码。

App“关于 Brook”包含开源声明。MOBI 转换使用 libmobi；对应构建的源码、对象代码与重链接材料可从“关于 Brook → 开源软件”导出。使用条款采用 Apple 标准 EULA。

Devices and importing
Brook's initial release supports iPhone with iOS 26 or later. Tap “+” in Library and choose an EPUB, MOBI, AZW or AZW3 file from Files. Use books you are entitled to read, without DRM protection. PDF, TXT, KFX and AZW4 are not currently supported.
Tap a word for its meaning or select a passage to request translation. Downloaded dictionaries supply some definitions locally; new AI contextual explanations and translations require a connection. Feature access, trial conditions and usage allowances are shown in the app.
Speech and online choices
Choose a local model and voice in Audio settings. Some voices require an Apple-hosted resource download; the resources screen shows the size and readiness. Local narration runs on your device after preparation and does not upload narration text or require online AI permission.
Subscribers can separately enable cloud narration with their own API key. It is off by default and connects directly to the chosen provider. Provider charges are separate from Brook Pro. The key stays in this device's Keychain. Advanced audio settings let you clear cached audio or remove the key; you can also return to a local model.
Online definitions and translation, and independent online pronunciation, have separate permissions. Review or withdraw each choice in Settings → Your data → Privacy policy. Word pronunciation following an enabled cloud narration voice uses the same provider and key. Select Local model under Audio → Word pronunciation to keep word pronunciation local. Purchases
Brook Pro offers monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions. The app and Apple's confirmation screen show the applicable price, period, benefits and any offers. Your own cloud narration provider's fees are separate.
If access does not update after purchase, use the same Apple Account and select Restore purchases in Settings → Help & support. Manage or cancel subscriptions from the membership page or your Apple Account subscriptions. Uninstalling Brook does not cancel a subscription. Apple handles refund requests under its rules.
TestFlight purchases are test transactions without a real charge and may renew or expire faster. This applies only to TestFlight, not to production subscriptions.
Backup, export and removal
Your data offers optional iCloud backups of your book files and learning records. They use your personal iCloud storage and run while Brook is open; you can also start a backup manually. Check the last completed backup time. After reinstalling, choose a completed backup from the same iCloud account and restore into an empty library.
Export learning data is free and provides CSV + JSON or JSON. It includes book metadata and learning records, but excludes original book files. Keep a complete backup when you need to restore your library. Additional wordbook formats include Anki and Markdown; access conditions are shown in the app.
Removing a source book does not automatically delete saved vocabulary. Turning off backup does not remove existing iCloud data; use system iCloud storage management to remove it. Contact support for server-data access, correction or deletion requests.
Feedback and contact
The Feedback action sends technical details about the selected problem, excluding reading text, titles, audio and credentials. Unsent reports stay on your device for up to 7 days; manage them in Help and diagnostics. Server details are retained for 30 days, and encrypted backups expire on the backup schedule.
You can also create a diagnostic report in Help & support and choose whether to share it. Include your iPhone model, iOS and app versions, steps, and the expected and actual result. Do not send books, passwords or API keys.
